Usual Dose: |
Adults: 500 mg IV every 8 hours |

Contraindications: |
Hypersensitivity to doripenem, carbapenem Anaphylaxis to beta-lactams |

Warnings: |
Renal impairment: reduce dose May cause Clostridium difficile-associated
diarrhea
Concurrent sodium valproate/valproic acid: Doripenem may reduce serum
concentrations resulting in loss of seizure control; monitor valproic acid serum
concentrations and adjust dose
Do not administer by inhalation: Pneumonitis has been reported
Lactation: Use caution
Safety and efficacy not established in pediatric patients |
